First of all, I want to let you know the Comment feature of this blog is now working thanks to the amazing Brian at Integrant Services! So PLEASE leave your comments!!!
Yesterday I made an Accordion Fold Card while watching Cindy Brumbaugh on YouTube using the oh so adorable Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper (free Sale-a-bration item when you order $50 in product). As I was making the card with Cindy, I was wondering if the style would work with my new favorite Legendary Ride Bundle! Let me know what you think!
I really wanted to use some of this glossy, tire-tread designer series paper.
There are two sizes of motorcycles in the stamp set so I stamped the smaller one on the envelope.
This side view shows the accordion fold. I started the card off with a piece of Basic White on the far right but wanted to change to Very Vanilla…enter the Heat Tool, most often used for Heat Embossing. I just heated the back side of the card and was able to easily peel the Basic White cardstock off so I could put the Very Vanilla piece on.
CARD RECIPE:
Legendary Ride Bundle (includes Stamp Set and Dies)
Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″; scored at 2 3/4″, 4 1/4″, 7 1/4″ and 8 1/2″
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock cut at 4″ x 4″; scraps for Stylish Shapes Banner Die, cut two
Ready to Ride Designer Series Paper cut two different patterns at 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
Very Vanilla Cardstock cut at 2 1/4″ X 4″ and two circles cut with the 3rd largest Stylish Shapes Circle Die.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Fold card base on score lines in an accordion fold manner
- Adhere Designer Series Paper to the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock pieces
- Adhere Paper Pumpkin Cardstock pieces to card base following pictures above
- Stamp the wrench on the Very Vanilla Cardstock and adhere to far right leaving a border and making sure it is covered by the piece that folds over it.
- Stamp the large motorcycle and cut out with coordinating die. Adhere to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals or foam tape.
- Cut two Stylish Shapes Circles and stamp sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used my Stamparatus stamp positioning tool to stamp the sentiments THEN cut out with the Stylish Shapes Circles
- Cut two banners from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock; adhere behind the Sentiment Circles and adhere the circles to the card base as shown above.
I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it!
