Did I Forget Your Birthday…AGAIN?!!!

I have the best of intentions when it comes to birthdays. I buy the gifts. I make the cards. BUT struggle to get everything in the mail BEFORE the scheduled date! This year I decided to try something different and so far it’s working like a charm…well, almost anyway. So, what am I doing different? Oh, I am so glad you asked!

A few months ago Stampin’ Up! came out with the Birthday Card Organizer Kit which includes a spiral bound folder, stickers for each month and everything you need to make 12 cards…2 of each design. I decided to get one to try it out.

Some people have been decorating their organizers but for now I left mine plain because my focus was filling it with Birthday cards and mailing them out, right?

These are the adorable cards that come with the kit. No stamping necessary. Just stick the pieces on the card base, add a few sequins and you’re ready to go. And, the envelopes are included! I put three of each card together but saved some to make alternative designs with.

January went really well. I needed to send six cards and got them all in the mail! My friend Sheryl received her card a couple days late but when she sees the card, I think she will forgive me.

February needs six cards mailed as well but the first one isn’t till the 14th so I have a little time. One thing I really like about this is at the end of the month I can look at the next month to see how many cards I need to make and when they need to be sent. I have three of the six cards ready and a pile of cards made that just need sentiments so I think it’s safe to say February will be a win!

The Birthday Card Organizer has a pocket for each month PLUS a pocket on the inside front and back covers for those cards you haven’t decided who to send to yet.

When I usually start bogging down with getting the Birthday cards sent is August through October because we grow a big garden and I am busy picking, cooking, and canning. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Birthday Card Organizer will do the trick! For the times when I just can’t keep up, Stampin’ Up! has a great new sentiment stamp set (that I don’t own YET) called Something Fancy. You can get it in a bundle with dies that cut out some really cute tags. My favorite sentiment in the set says, “I didn’t forget your birthday I’m just stretching out the celebration”! I think they made this one just for me!
