Welcome August!!! I am not sure I want to welcome the August heat however. It is supposed to be over 100 degrees (F) here for the next 4 or 5 days! Whew! Thankfully our humidity is low and we do have air conditioning:)
I recently heard about two acquaintances who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer so I wanted to make them each a card using the new Ribbon of Courage stamp set. But since I have been a bit fuzzy headed lately I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a card instead of designing my own. Well, who better to CASE with this stamp set than the Stampin’ Up! Million Dollar Achiever, Patty Bennett, who helped design the Ribbon of Courage Bundle, right?!!! Patty has several card designs using this bundle on her website so be sure to check out pattystamps.com and type Ribbon of Courage in the search to find more inspiration!
I used Berry Blast as my coordinating color on the first card but ultimately decided I liked Patty’s color combo better. I embellished this card with the Basic Rhinestones but on the next card I used the Glitter Enamel Dots…oh.so.cute!
Which one do you like better? I made my own Designer Series Paper for the front. You can see another post where I did this HERE. In fact, I used the very same stamp!
For the inside white panel, I decided to stamp the adorable heart image with a sentiment that are also included in the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.
I just had to do a little closeup of this adorable flower that is part of the Support Ribbon Framelits included in the Ribbon of Courage Bundle. You can purchase the Ribbon of Courage stamp set separate from the Framelits but when you purchase them together you save 10%. All of the supplies to make these cards can be purchased in my Online Store by clicking the Shop Now button in the sidebar.
Often when I make a card I make a few extra…just in case! I hope I don’t need the extra two I made but you never know. Our Happy Stamper Club will be using the Ribbon of Courage Bundle to create a card for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October so you will definitely see more of this bundle!
Today I will be ordering the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogs AND preordering items from the Holiday Catalog! As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I am able to preorder items a month before they can be purchased by the general public! So, stay tuned for some fun Sneak Peeks! Do you want a Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and/or Annual Catalog? Just click the eMail Me button on the sidebar to email me your request.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
I’m so sorry to hear of your two acquaintences!!!!! I hate cancer. I’m sure your cards will do them a world of good!
Thank you Celia! I want them to know I am thinking of them!
These are adorable! I think both colors are cute! Sorry to hear about your 2 friends, these cards will surely brighten their days!
