I was thinking about what makes an quick and easy card. Like most of us maybe you don’t have 30 minutes to an hour to make a card! But sometimes you just need a little creative “me” time and sometimes you need a card QUICK! Well, Paper Pumpkin to the rescue!
I love when my creative surprise package arrives in the mail! March’s Paper Pumpkin was celebrating 6 years that Paper Pumpkin has been delighting subscribers and providing a little creative fun!
Inside this Paper Pumpkin box were ALL the supplies needed to make 8 pop-up birthday cards (except a clear block which comes in the very first Paper Pumpkin kit you receive). Every kit includes a photopolymer stamp set exclusive to Paper Pumpkin and at least one Stampin’ Spot! As a birthday gift to subscribers, Stampin’ Up! included an extra stamp set with big dotted numbers and a balloon which can be fussy cut or punch out with our Balloon Bouquet Punch! Since I have the full size stamp pads for all the Stampin’ Up! colors, I put my Stampin’ Spots aside for when I travel. I can take a lot more stamp pad colors with me that way!
With this particular kit I didn’t put any cards together the way the instructions said but decided to do a couple of alternative designs instead. The card above started with someone else’s alternative design but I can’t remember who she is (if you know, please let me know so I can include the information). The inside pop-up section was cut in half and mounted onto a Daffodil Delight card base. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and then mounted on a Bermuda Bay Scallop Circle cut from the Layering Circles Framelits. The adorable bows were included so I put them on the layers topping them with Basic Jewels Rhinestones!
My second card is for my Grandnephew Lex! This one came totally out of my head and I LOVE IT! The balloons where stamped with the dotted balloon stamp included, then cut out with scissors since I didn’t have my Balloon Bouquet Punch with me.
Wait till you see the Paper Pumpkin Kit I just received! Oh.My.Sweet Pickles!!! It is GORGEOUS!!! Best Paper Pumpkin EVER!!! And the May Paper Pumpkin will be just as wonderful (I’ve seen a sneak peek). Stampin’ Up!’s Co-Founder Shelli Gardner helped design the May Kit with her own signature style! To be sure to get the May Paper Pumpkin Kit, click HERE no later than May 10! And if you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, please choose me…Kathy Skinner! If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know!
I would love to know which of my two cards is YOUR favorite! Even though I used extra products in making these cards, the projects are always great right out of the box! I am the same way with cooking and card making…give me the ingredients and I’ll do my own thing:)))
Have a great day and a wonderful week!
