Framed Florets Black and White Gone Wrong…or Right?

I had a plan. I wanted to make a black and white card with just a pop of color…Polished Pink. I cut my Basic Black card base; added the fancy frame from the Framed Florets dies in white; then a Polished Pink oval and a Basic White oval with my sentiment. So far so good, right? Next I stamped my inside sentiment on a piece of 5 1/8″ by 3 7/8″ Basic White card stock and decided to carry over the color to the inside with a layer of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Polished Pink card stock behind the sentiment layer. Yay! Still on target. But this is where my original plan went awry.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black but could I leave them alone??? Absolutely not! I colored the flowers with Polished Pink, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends; the leaves with Mint Macaron and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. And then I used LOTS of Wink of Stella to give the flowers some pizzazz:) I tried to get a picture of the shimmer but it didn’t show up but trust me, it is sooo pretty!

Next I decided I might as well add a little more color inside so stamped some more flowers and colored them with Stampin’ Blends as well.

I did stick with the black and white theme for the envelope…

So, you tell me…did I mess this card up or did I create a better card?

Thank you for stopping by!
